Sols from Suspended sculptures. These series are inspired by Perso-Arabic scripts. The sculptures are suspended from the ceilings and their fluid, curved shapes to a mystical journey of the soul toward truth and union with God same as Sufi whirling performances. Each piece is made of fiberglass base covered with entirely handmade mirrors. The sparkling bright coloured mirror pieces in pixel effects make them logical rather than physical units.
With a static and dignified structure, The Sols (Third) font is mostly used to decorate books and inscriptions. The gradual evolution of the “Sols” as a decorative line was formed by Ibn Muqla, Ibn Buwab and Yaqut Mustasimi. Ibn Buwab associated beauty and elegance with the “Sols” writing. The Sols section script is used in Iran to write the titles of the chapters of the Holy Quran, back cover writing, title plates, and especially in inscriptions and tile work, and it is still common. This mirror-work represents a modern abstract version of The Sols
